Pfft pasta is pasta if you’re talking the plain normal white flour stuff. Better off going off-brand enriched wheat products than off-brand car parts.

That is a great pasta shape though I’ll admit. Up there with farfalle imo. I love good textured pasta.

Farfalle is great, although I’m usually cooking with fusilli.

The cheapskate wiseman in me often goes for radiatore or other unique (but nicely textured) pasta because none of those are skimped out when it comes to packaging weight.

I’m not a fan of the fact that for some reason BIG PASTA has silently agreed to only sell farfalle in 12 oz boxes for the same price as literally every other 16 oz pasta. It’s like they’re all plotting against me. But it keeps the variety going. If farfalle were in 16 oz boxes, that’d be the only pasta I ever eat - so ultimately I’m happy keeping it in a random rotation every couple boxes. (Even though that’s still one fewer serving of leftovers for me to bring to work later in the week!)
